What care should be taken to prepare the fasting diets from low fat products?

For the non-vegetarians

There are various Red meat & lean meat options like fish and chicken as a protein source to the body but so as to make it lighter, the chicken should be skinless and the fat should preferably be removed.

For vegetarians

Protein can be gain through Soya, Milk & milk products, paneer or curd.
They can also include lentils & beans in their meals but without heavy tadka (tempering) of ghee and spices.
